Syrup Sopping

We made it to the annual Loachapoka Syrup Sopping Festival today for the first time! Now I understand why it is sooo crowded and people drive from miles away to come....it was a blast! We started with having biscuits with syrup and then headed to the pony ride. Rylee loved it at first but halfway through decided she was scared...at least we got half a ride in and a few pictures! We then walked around through the boothes looking at all the great arts and crafts. We took a break on some hay bales to listen to some music. I think this was Rylee's favorite part! She loved dancing to the music as well as jumping off the hay bales! It amazes (and scares) me how brave she is. We then did some more shopping, finding a fabulous Auburn tutu!

Clint and I in Cancun

As you can tell since I have not updated the blog in over 2 months we have been busy! August and September flew by with trips to Mississippi for Amy's suprise 40th Birthday party and the Early family reunion, Louisiana for Labor Day weekend and Kyle's suprise Birthday party, and Cancun for our 5th wedding anniversary (Rylee stayed with mamaw and papaw Rogers).
September also brought the start of college football season! Although I have tried to get her to be an LSU Tiger, Rylee loves the Auburn Tigers. She now sleeps with her Auburn blanket and will sometimes wake up saying "go Auburn tigers." We havent taken her to a game yet but hope to before the season ends.
We have started potty training recently. Although I got her a training potty as well as a Seasame St kid size toliet seat, she insists on going on the "big potty". Works for me, less clean up! Every day brings a new adventure and we are enjoying every moment (well for the most part!) Now that I have caught up, I will try to update more often!
